Located within the ALEX Innovation Park in Kaunas, this new 15,500 sq. m. technology center represents a major milestone in high-tech infrastructure designed by 2L Architects. This €34 million investment spans a 4-hectare site and features a facility dedicated to R&D, advanced testing laboratories, and high-tech manufacturing. The building’s distinctive "U-shaped" volume is strategically designed to integrate three core functions—production, laboratories, and administration—all unified by a central public courtyard.
Architecturally, the project balances industrial efficiency with aesthetic rhythm, utilizing tinted clay-colored concrete for administrative sections and corten sandwich panels for the production zones. To achieve a column-free interior, the administrative wings utilize triple-layer precast concrete facades that act as load-bearing external walls alongside central elevator and stair cores. This structural solution provides maximum flexibility for the 500 high-qualification specialists who will drive the next generation of network equipment innovation. Inside, the material palette of masonry, gypsum, and multi-layer panels is carefully selected to meet rigorous fire safety and functional requirements. Once completed, this center will not only strengthen Teltonika’s global competitiveness but also serve as a landmark for the growing engineering and IT community in Kaunas.
